An afternoon workshop at the RHA School, that will guide participants in making a traditional Ukrainian Folk painting with all proceeds going to Unicef's Ukraine Emergency Appeal.

Yana Koretska is a Ukrainian artist, now living in Dublin who was displaced from her home in March of this year. She will be facilitating this afternoon workshop and holds an MFA in Monumental painting from Kyiv’s National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture and a BA in art history and theory from Kyiv’s National Academy of Arts. Since arriving in Ireland Koretska has been attending various strands of the RHA School as part of our access programme.

Koretska will lead an afternoon workshop entitled Paint for Peace at the RHA School on the 16th July. Koretska will guide participants in making a traditional Ukrainian Folk painting which is a symbol of Ukrainian community and culture. This painting workshop is open to all adults, both practising artists and non artists are welcome to apply, there is no experience necessary.

Participants will produce a small canvas as part of the workshop. All materials will kindly be provided by Evans Art Supplies and there is maximum of 15 places available.

A suggested donation of €50 to attend the workshop and all proceeds will be donated to Unicef’s Ukraine Emergency Appeal. Donation link will be given once registered to the workshop.
