“My current work appropriates used vinyl record sleeves to create new visual possibilities derived from their original design intent. Through deconstructing, inverting and reformatting I am exploring visual juxtapositions, chance connections and spatial relationships. Some of these new compositions open out disjointed narratives, where snippets of the recognisable are aside un-coded texts, signs and symbols. Some tend towards the abstract while other works aim to re-contextualise the original vinyl jacket.”  Brian Hegarty.

    The Royal Hibernian Academy is located in the city centre of Dublin, adjacent to the National Gallery of Ireland and National Museum of Ireland and within close proximity to a wide variety of public transport services, such as Dublin Bus (Routes: 39A, 46A and 145) and Dart (Pearse Dart Station).
