What does it mean to find our way home? This November, the RHA Academicians Ashford Gallery Exhibition invites audiences to explore that question through the eyes of 18 leading Irish artists, in an exhibition curated by RHA Keeper, Diana Copperwhite RHA.

Inspired by James Joyce’s Ulysses, Episode 13, Nausicaa, and the evocative line,

The longest way round is the shortest way home

The exhibition explores the unexpected journeys, detours and discoveries that shape our understanding of home, identity and belonging. Bringing together a diverse range of artistic voices and perspectives, it offers visitors an opportunity to encounter familiar ideas anew, through works that reward time, reflection and closer looking.

Featuring Aideen Barry RHA, Elaine Byrne ARHA, Diana Copperwhite RHA, Joe Dunne RHA, James English RHA, Andrew Folan RHA, Joy Gerrard ARHA, Pat Harris RHA, Eihtne Jordan RHA, Vera Klute RHA, Alice Maher RHA, Carolyn Mulholland RHA, Eilis O’Connell RHA, Michael Quane RHA, Ann Quinn ARHA, Vivienne Roche RHA, Dorothy Smith ARHA and Amelia Stein RHA, the exhibition celebrates the breadth and vitality of contemporary artistic practice represented by the Academy.

Running from 20 November to 13 December, the exhibition also presents an opportunity for collectors and art lovers to discover a lasting addition to their collections ahead of Christmas.
