Kids Workshop in Response to Donald Teskey RHA Decade Exhibition
Ages 8 - 12
On 1 Oct, 2022
For this workshop with artist Michelle Hall, children will visit the exhibition DECADE to get inspiration for their own artworks experimenting with paints and textures.
On this workshop you’ll scrape and splodge canvases using different types of tools and materials, such as sand and scrunched up paper. There are so many things to explore in this exhibition, from cool cityscapes and wild, choppy seascapes to leafy rivers and tall, spiky trees. Explore all of these textures together with artist Michelle Hall in the RHA studio after you view the paintings in the gallery.
Michelle Hall is a Dublin based interdisciplinary artist who graduated from BA Fine Art TUD in 2007 and MA Art in the Contemporary World NCAD in 2016. Recent commissions include solo exhibition ‘(R)OARS’ at Draíocht for their 21 year celebrations. Hall was also a recipient of HOMEGROUND, an artist support programme initiated by Draíocht and Fingal Arts during the pandemic. Hall has exhibited in Ireland and abroad and her practice has been supported by the Arts Council Agility Award 2021 and Film Bursary 2020 and 2017. She has also received supports from Fingal Arts Office and was recipient of the Fingal/RHA School Studio Residency in 2018. michellehall.ie
