We will be busy in the studio doing plaster bandage casting, making 2 part moulds, exploring with clay, paper maché and wire construction to create the students own sculptures. The camp is run by artists specialising in sculpture, Sophie Béhal and Holly O’ Brien.
Sophie Béhal is a visual artist working mainly in sculptural installation, which can include audio, text, photographic and performative elements. Her work is characterised by an attention to the inherent qualities of materials and their relationship to time.
Holly O’Brien is a multidisciplinary artist, incorporating sculpture, costume and performance. Her current work explores themes of escapism and consumerism in the context of mythology, technology and digital realms.
Ages: 12- 16
