Observe RHA Masterclasses taking place, led by artists Sian Costello and Zsolt Basti in the RHA Petronella Brown Gallery.

Through an open submission process, artists have been invited to work with Sian Costello and Zsolt Basti in the RHA Petronella Brown Gallery, in a Masterclass setting. We invite you to observe the sessions from 14.00 – 16.00 to see the group as they work from live observation with each tutor.

Sian Costello, Living Art History: from Manet to the Model, Fri, 20 – Sun, 22 Oct

Open to the public to observe: Fri, 20 Oct 18:00 – 20:00, Sat, 21 – Sun, 22 Oct 14.00 – 16.00

This class is targeted towards those with basic experience in painting and drawing who would like to develop their skills of observation, colour mixing, and painting from life.

 

Zsolt Basti, Drawing, Obscuring, Painting, Fri, 27 – Sun, 29 Oct

Open to the public to observe: 14.00 – 16.00 each day.

This masterclass is suited to artists seeking to learn both a classical and contemporary approach to current observational painting

    The Royal Hibernian Academy is located in the city centre of Dublin, adjacent to the National Gallery of Ireland and National Museum of Ireland and within close proximity to a wide variety of public transport services, such as Dublin Bus (Routes: 39A, 46A and 145) and Dart (Pearse Dart Station).
