Asha Murray, Tufting Masterclass

Masterclass

€160
14 Feb, 2026 - 15 Feb, 2026

Artist Asha Murray presents a two-day masterclass for artists who are interested in expanding their practice through fine art textiles.

This workshop, which reflects aspects of her own art practice, will explore creating through the medium of tufting. Wool tufting entails passing varied lengths of wool through canvas, either with a punch needle or tufting gun, resulting in a carpeted textile art form.

Over the course of this two-day workshop, you will get the chance to learn the basics of punch needling, to try out different tufting techniques and styles and to experience the use of a machine tufting gun.

You will leave the workshop with your very own hand-needled, punched textile work and square patch samples made from the tufting gun.

Material will be included, but feel welcome to bring along any reference imagery, reflective of your own artistic practice, that you would like to tuft!!
