Join us for an end of summer Botanical Printing workshop in response to Alan Butler's exhibition 'We are now in the mountains, and they are in us'

Botanical Printing

An introduction to one of the oldest photographic processes. Made popular by botanist Anna Atkins in the 19th century with her prints of ferns and seaweeds.

The session will start with an explanation of the process and a demonstration on how to coat paper.

You will have the opportunity to make your own Prussian blue prints and experiment with a variety of plants on a range of prepared papers.

You are encouraged to bring one or two leaves or flowers to work with and there will also be materials at the session to inspire you.

This workshop is for adults.
