You are invited to an intimate live album performance of Maïa Nunes’ Lake Burst accompanied by a full band of stellar musicians at the RHA Gallery.
Nunes’ Lake Burst exhibition and debut album by the same name explore the geo-mythology of Irish lakes as symbols of death and rebirth, sites of healing and transformation, and portals to the Otherworld.
Lake Burst is an exhibition of a single body of artistic works made in response to a pair of glacial lakes, Lough Bré, at the top of the Glencree Valley. Made over the course of 5 years, the exhibition showcases Nunes’ expansive and transdisciplinary approach to artistic practice, embracing film, live performance, textile, installation, stone sculpture, music and sound.
Vinyls will be available to purchase for €40 at Front of House on the evening.
