The Mauritshuis is home to the best of Dutch painting from the age of Rembrandt and Vermeer.
Located in the center of The Hague, the historical and political heart of the Netherlands, it is a small world-class museum with a formidable collection of Dutch and Flemish paintings from the 17th century; the golden age of this type of art.
In the Mauritshuis, you’ll discover iconic masterpieces, such as the Girl with a Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer and the Anatomy Lesson of Dr Nicolaes Tulp by Rembrandt, which attract hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world every year.
This event is being led by accredited lecturer for The Arts Society and Mauritshuis tour guide, Jane Choy and facilitated by the Cork Decorative and Fine Arts Society. Jane will guide you through the Mauritshuis, sharing her vast knowledge of some of the most spectacular paintings in the world.
