The course provides the basic technical, material and observational skills for drawing. The course will cover traditional and contemporary approaches to drawing. This is an introductory course that is aimed at students developing the requisite skill base for drawing or professional artists wishing to upskill. The module aims to provide the basic and founding skill base and critical observational skills to underpin a drawing practice. The module contains an anatomy element delivered in partnership with the RCSI.

TU DUBLIN ACCREDITATION
The completion of all 10 modules are awarded with a 60 credit Diploma in Painting and Drawing, Technological University Dublin with a NQF Level 8. There are three exit awards at 30 credits which are awarded a 30 credit certificate at level 8.

Students can complete all modules over the course of two academic year, or complete separate modules over the course of a number of years. All modules will be subject to the quality assurance and exam regulations of TU Dublin. Please note that students are not required to complete Term 1 courses before applying for Term 2 courses.
