Foundation in Painting 2 is a 15-week course that aims to build on and advance learning outcomes from Foundation in Painting 1. This is open to students who have completed the initial painting module or artists who wish to build on an existing skill base and extend their knowledge. The first part of the course will cover spatial organisation, drawing for painting, Impasto and brushwork, colour relationships, blocking out and colour modulation. The latter six weeks of the course will be an extended block working from the model with tutor Una Sealy RHA. Written feedback will be provided on course completion.

TU DUBLIN ACCREDITATION
The completion of all 10 modules are awarded with a 60 credit Diploma in Painting and Drawing, Technological University Dublin with a NQF Level 8. There are three exit awards at 30 credits which are awarded a 30 credit certificate at level 8.

Certificate in Drawing 30 ECTS
Certificate In Painting 30 ECTS
Students can complete all modules over the course of two academic year, or complete separate modules over the course of a number of years. All modules will be subject to the quality assurance and exam regulations of TU Dublin.
Please note that students are NOT required to complete Term 1 courses before applying for Term 2 courses.
