Following a successful two years, the Avolon Global Studio Award (AGSA) Programme has decided to offer the 6 month residency to two artists for 3 months each. Suited to Avolon's geographic priorities, a call out was made to India for artists to apply for the 3 month residency and the independent committee chose painters Mantu Das and Ravi Chaurasiya as the successful applicants.
For Avolon, Art is a global language that transcends boundaries, much like our business. We believe we have a role to play in supporting and enabling artists and, in particular, to help them push creative boundaries.
Mantu Das and Ravi Chaurasiya each took up residency in Dublin for three months and were provided with return flights, relocation assistance, accommodation, a monthly stipend and a studio at the RHA for the duration of their stay - fully supported by Avolon.
Ravi Chaurasiya, AGSA Recipient 2019
