It is with great sadness that we learn of the death of Pauline Bewick RHA. Pauline was a larger than life character, a genuine free spirit with an enormous appetite for work as well as life.
She developed her own unique style that was distinctive and instantly recognisable - joyous, sensual, and colourful.
One of Ireland's best known artists, she had an extraordinary energy and was truly prolific. Her huge output included watercolours, paintings, book illustrations, sculptures, stained glass and tapestries. She was also that rare thing, a genuinely popular artist.
She will be greatly missed. The RHA extend sincerest condolences to her daughters Poppy and Holly.
