Role of the Academies in the 21st Century

In October of last year, Denise Ferran, President of the Royal Ulster Academy, welcomed Christopher Le Brun, President of the Royal Academy in London, Arthur Watson, President of the Royal Scottish Academy and Mick O’Dea, President of the Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin, to a reception at the Glasshouse in Stormont. This reception, for the visiting Academy presidents, preceded a seminar at the Ulster Museum entitled Join the conversation on the role of the Academies in the 21st century, the first event in the Royal Ulster Academy’s 135th Annual Exhibition Programme.
